Learn Internet Marketing And Why You Should Promote Information Products!
If you have begun to learn Internet Marketing, you may already know that your role, as an Affiliate, will be to promote a Product. Through this promotion, you’ll generate sales, and earn commission. The majority of these products will be for “Information Products”. A large percentage of Information Products tend to be made available as downloadable, rather than physical products.
An Information Product does exactly what it says on the tin. If you took a poll of people surfing the Internet, and asked them if they have looked for any type of “information” on the web in the last 7 days, nearly 100% would say yes. There is a hungry market of potential customers who are willing to pay for all types of information.
To show the size of the markets waiting for you, below is a short list of information search terms that people look for in Google, relating to dog training. The words represent the search term; the figures are the number of times the term is searched globally, on a monthly basis – at time of writing.
* dog problems – 135,000 * how to train puppy – 110,000 * training your dog – 40,500 * agility dog training – 40,500 * dog potty training – 33,100 * how to train your dog – 33,100 * puppy house training – 33,100 * dog house training – 33,100 * dogs obedience – 33,100 * stop puppy biting – 27,100 * puppy dog training – 27,100
That’s over 500,000 people looking in Google each month for information on dog training – and that’s only the tip of the iceberg! There were 57 similar terms, each with over 5,000 searches. So do you think there’s a hungry market of avid customers wanting to buy dog training information products online? Of course, and as you continue to learn Internet Marketing, you discover ways to recognise which niches to promote.
Downloadable products represent great value for money for the buyer. The Product Owner has very low overheads. He does not keep stock, has little or no materials to buy. Therefore the product can be brought, and offered, to market inexpensively. The profit margin (to the Producer) can be extremely high – after all, once he has made the product, it has little, or no further cost to him, no matter how many he sells, as it is all just downloaded from his website by the purchaser.
Information products have “no quantifiable worth”. That is, people don’t generally compare them to something they buy on the High Street. The information they want is worth something different to each individual. As well as the perceived bargain price, the buyer also has the advantage that they will obtain the product immediately their payment is authorised. For example, someone purchasing a Piano Tuition Course can be learning their first chords within a few minutes.
You can see that the concept of promoting, and earning commissions from, Information Products seems a fairly simple one. In essence it is – but it’s all too easy to spend precious time (and money) promoting the wrong product (or type of product), and that’s where a mentor (who has already learned from their own mistakes) can help enormously. Learn Internet Marketing from a proficient teacher and your chances of success will be much better.

Micro Niche Marketing – How to Get Affiliates to Promote Your Micro Niche Product – Part 2
One of the secrets of having an extremely successful micro niche marketing campaign is to have a great number of affiliates promoting your product. Think about it, these affiliates will be putting in all the effort needed to market your product for you! What more, the more affiliates there are, the greater the “multiplier effect” of the marketing efforts! And that just means that you will see your profit margin rise exponentially. So are you ready to find out how to get more hungry affiliates?
One thing you need to know about affiliates is that they are always looking for the best “deal” in terms of what product owners have to offer. So while certain aspects, such as the number of affiliate tools you have for them to use, such as articles and reports, are important factors, ultimately, it these are secondary to a far more important factor, the payout.
The payout is simply the percentage of the sale that the affiliates will be getting in return for selling each copy of your product. The general rule of thumb is that the higher the percentage of the commission, the more attractive promoting your product becomes. Think about it, would you be interested in promoting a product that has a low payout? Chances are slim right? (Unless of course the product being sold is priced at $ 500, and that you’re getting a 20% commission, which adds up to a $ 100.)
What more, in a micro niche, it is highly important to be able to attract as many affiliates as you can, otherwise you will simply be leaving money on the table! Period. An ideal commission rate would be anywhere from 65%-75%. Do not be stingy when it comes to the rate. Make sure you have the following thought in your mind at all times!
“The more money my affiliates make, the more money I make. I may be only getting 25% of the sale, but I wouldn’t have gotten that 25% if my affiliates hadn’t made the sale.”
Also, if you’re still turned off by the low commission rate, remember, you can always sell even more products to the people who buy from you! And since they’re likely to already be on your list, you won’t be “losing” money to your affiliates! Makes sense right?
So there you have it. Make sure you put in place a high payout. That way you will have more affiliates, and your micro niche marketing efforts will bear the fruit a lot quicker!
