Niche Product Marketing

Niche product marketing comes in two stages, first finding the niche and then it’s about traffic, traffic, traffic. You have your blogs, Squidoo lens etc all going on so you just need to get people to actually check them out. How do I get traffic? It’s one of the most asked questions in marketing. You may have heard of SEO’s, pays per click, just to mention a couple. These all boil down to time and money. Twitter is a way to do your niche product marketing free and easily.

However there is a right way to use Twitter for your niche product marketing. Its no good tweeting all day if no-ones listening. You need to get together an audience that are actually interested in your niche in the first place. If you already have a Twitter account running you will know that your live post stays there for a matter of seconds, thats all you get. Your followers are vital. Its no use having thousands of followers if only a small handful, if any, are actually interested in your niche.

If you are an internet marketer with a number of different niches, so that you don’t confuse or ‘put-off’ your followers you need to look at setting up a twitter account for every niche separately. This will ensure when someone checks out your profile its all about the same niche (subject). If a follower checks out your profile only to find that you have about 20 different niche subjects going on, it will put them in the mind that you are a ‘jack of all trades but master of none’ kind of twitterer. It will clearly show that you maybe aren’t as experienced as maybe the follower first thought on that subject. How can you be? You have 20 different things going on. Whilst Twitter is an excellent way for niche product marketing, it needs to be used correctly or you are just wasting your time and energy.

What is Niche Marketing?

Niche marketing is an essential component to making money as an affiliate. It is simply finding products or services to sell in a certain area of interest and building your marketing efforts around that topic. Dogs, gardening, and working at home are examples of niches.

Niche marketing works because it revolves more around information rather than products and services. People love information and getting more information is why they search the internet. If you present someone with some valuable information in an area that they’re interested in, and you provide them with a product or service that provides a solution to a problem or a desire they have in that area, then you’re going to make money.

Broad vs Narrow Niches

Dogs is an example of a broad niche. Dog training is a more specific and narrow niche within the dog niche. The more specific your niche, the better chance you have to make money. However, if your niche is so specific, like dog leashes made of licorice, that only a few people are interested in it, then you aren’t likely to make money with that niche!

Finding A Good Niche

So how do you find a good niche? Well, your best bet is to pick an area that is of interest to you. Why? Because it will be easier for you to come up with content about something that you enjoy and already have some knowledge of. If you feel it is too broad, then think about how you can narrow it down. If you like to garden, maybe try vegetable gardening or flower gardening.

Another great way to find profitable niches is to do simple internet searches surrounding pretty much anything that interests you. Plop in a few keywords into Google and see what pops up. Looking at the paid listings along the side will give you an idea of what kind of products or services are related to your interests.

Once you’ve found your niche and some products or services within that niche, then you’ll need to create either a website or a blog about your niche. If you don’t have your own hosting, the easiest way to get going is to get a free blog from Blogger.com. Include your affiliate links in your posts or as advertisements.

Are you a complete internet marketing newb? If so, start here You don’t need a website or even a blog to make money, and its free to try.

The Secret to Bum Marketing – You Have to Really Narrow Down Your Niche

Want to know what the real secret to Bum Marketing is? Want to know how you can finally start making money with affiliate marketing? Well, you just have to know how far you must narrow down the niche you want to try and sell to…and the rest is gravy!

Okay, I’m assuming you know what a niche is. You know, a small targeted section of a larger market. Take weight loss for example…big market, and saturated with competition. And even if it wasn’t, you have too many people with different needs in that big of a market so your message would have to be way too broad to try and reach everyone and would therefore be ineffective.

So, you would want to maybe look at diet plans that focused on perhaps just women. And maybe narrow it down a little further to women who are getting married soon and need a plan that gives them super quick results and targets the right areas of the body that need to be thinned out a bit to accommodate their wedding dress.

Here is another example. I was at an air show this weekend that focused on War Word II airplanes and memorabilia. They had all these old planes that had been reconditioned and were operational as well as tanks, motorcycles, jeeps and weapons of the same time period…pretty cool.

They also had people dressed up like soldiers and were kind of doing little re-enactment scenes…no simulated wars or anything, more like how a camp would look, or a bunker or weapons area, etc.

I started to do a little niche research and went over to the vendor tents that were selling items from the time period. Theses were authentic pieces, not replicas… and not cheap. I noticed something unusual that I had not realized until I saw it with my own eyes.

Folks just like me came to the show to see the airplanes…I wasn’t really interested in the actual weapons or uniforms or other such memorabilia, as interesting as it was. Then you had folks who were interested in that kind of stuff and I figured you would probably have two types of those kinds of people who would make a purchase at the vendor tents.

The first type of person was someone older, a retired vet who had seen some type of military combat before. Then you had the kind of person who was active duty, most likely an officer type really into the history of the military.

I stood around and watched for a while and came to the conclusion that I still have a lot to learn about marketing and figuring out exactly who my market is in a particular niche because I totally missed the mark.

You know who was actually buying all the old stuff? It was the guys who were actually a part of the reenactment. The guys who gave up their weekend to dress as soldiers and walk around like they were actually living during WWII and talking to each other in German and saluting higher ranking officers and eating realistic rations and so on and so on.

It was these guys who broke role only long enough to go hunting in the vendor tents for that one piece of their collection they were missing, or to buy a new medal or ribbon for their uniforms.

I also realized that I never would have even considered this niche before because it would be too small…I mean how many WWII buffs are there really out there? Thing is, I would not be opening an expensive brick and mortar store to sell to these people, and as you might imagine, there is no such store anywhere in the large city in which I live.

These people acquire most of their “stuff” online, which is exactly where I work. So, this would probably be a very targeted, highly motivated, ready to buy group of people that most marketers would overlook…don’t you think? Or at least get their actual market wrong like I did when I made a guess as to who would buy the stuff the vendors were selling.

Goes to show that you must do your research and understand who your market is, what they are passionate about, if they have the money necessary to buy what you are selling and how much competition there is out there and if you can position yourself in front of the market better than they have.

Wouldn’t you like to know the secret to making money from home so you can pay your bills, take a much needed vacation or quit your day job? Of course you would!

Micro Niche Marketing – How to Get Affiliates to Promote Your Micro Niche Product – Part 2

One of the secrets of having an extremely successful micro niche marketing campaign is to have a great number of affiliates promoting your product. Think about it, these affiliates will be putting in all the effort needed to market your product for you! What more, the more affiliates there are, the greater the “multiplier effect” of the marketing efforts! And that just means that you will see your profit margin rise exponentially. So are you ready to find out how to get more hungry affiliates?

One thing you need to know about affiliates is that they are always looking for the best “deal” in terms of what product owners have to offer. So while certain aspects, such as the number of affiliate tools you have for them to use, such as articles and reports, are important factors, ultimately, it these are secondary to a far more important factor, the payout.

The payout is simply the percentage of the sale that the affiliates will be getting in return for selling each copy of your product. The general rule of thumb is that the higher the percentage of the commission, the more attractive promoting your product becomes. Think about it, would you be interested in promoting a product that has a low payout? Chances are slim right? (Unless of course the product being sold is priced at $ 500, and that you’re getting a 20% commission, which adds up to a $ 100.)

What more, in a micro niche, it is highly important to be able to attract as many affiliates as you can, otherwise you will simply be leaving money on the table! Period. An ideal commission rate would be anywhere from 65%-75%. Do not be stingy when it comes to the rate. Make sure you have the following thought in your mind at all times!

“The more money my affiliates make, the more money I make. I may be only getting 25% of the sale, but I wouldn’t have gotten that 25% if my affiliates hadn’t made the sale.”

Also, if you’re still turned off by the low commission rate, remember, you can always sell even more products to the people who buy from you! And since they’re likely to already be on your list, you won’t be “losing” money to your affiliates! Makes sense right?

So there you have it. Make sure you put in place a high payout. That way you will have more affiliates, and your micro niche marketing efforts will bear the fruit a lot quicker!

To your success,

Beginner Affiliate Marketing Tips – The Best Ways to Find a Niche That Pays

It can seem hard to find a great niche, whether you’re creating niche websites or doing niche campaigns on Squidoo or other web 2.0 platforms. People can make it really hard though, it doesn’t have to be that hard.

How to find a buying niche

When you want to find a “buying niche” think about where people are going to buy and then go look and see what it is they are buying. You can generally find keywords for those things that aren’t very competitive at all.

Going to shopping dot com is my favorite place to look. You can see all the products they sell, and when you click in any category they are shown by popularity. This tells you people are already buying what is there.

A little quick keyword research and you can usually find plenty of keywords that will be easy to rank for. When you’re doing this technique try to look for products that are in the higher price range. This way you can monetize with amazon or eBay and still get a nice commission check.

The benefits of looking for physical product niches are:

They are evergreen, people are always going to need a washing machine, or a bed. They never go out of style.

You can sell from a trusted source, like Amazon and gain credibility from their name.

You can benefit from Amazon’s amazing use of upsell, because you get commission on any product someone buys when they go through your link. You may sell a dishwasher, and then they realize they need dish soap, and jet dry etc, all of that adds up, and so does your commission.

The niches are a  LOT less competitive. You can find niches with over 75k searches a month and not one competitive site on Squidoo and minimal competition on Google.

These are the  kinds of niches you are looking for, because it means you can quickly and easily get to the top of Google search listings with minimal work, and begin to get tons of free traffic to your site, and buying through your link.

Bottom line Don’t make finding a niche harder than it has to be. The niche(s) you choose is where your money is at. Affiliate Marketing for beginners- How to Make Sure Your Niche Market is Profitable!

Before you start any Affiliate Marketing Campaign after selecting a product is your must confirm there is in fact a market or a demand for that product. This is a vital step as your campaign success will be dependent on it. If you select the wrong market or niche, the chances of a profitable endeavour will be low to nonexistent.  So what aspects of the your niche should you be looking at to confirm there is a viable market?

1:Check there is a genuine demand of the market. You will want to make sure that the market size is big and they are willing to spend money to get access to the information that will help them to solve their problem. If there is no demand for the information that you are providing, it means that the market is not profitable or you will not be able to sell your products to enough people to make the business profitable.

2: Research whether there are any websites where the customers in the niche you’re interested in are frequently visiting for more information and knowledge. Ways of checking this are through  article directories, blogs and forums.  These sites provide consistent and relevant information on the market and niche you are researching. Finding many people looking for that information simply means there is a genuine demand for the information and product and this means profit.

3: Monitor and gage the competition in the market place. It’s a simple fact that most successful affiliate marketers will only sell products in viable and profitable markets. The trick here is to see if there are a good number of different products that are being offered in this market. Merchants and developers will only make products where there is a demand.  Many products means there is demand which means a greater chance of real earnings.

4: Focus on how you can get your place in the market or your market share. This simply means driving as much traffic as possible to your website so that more people and potential customers will be aware of your offer. This will improve your page ranking and help bring in sales.

Research these simple aspects of your niche market and if they are all positive the chances of having a successful website in that niche and earning real money from that niche is assured.  Don’t cut corners by not doing this vital research.  Finally  promote aggressively once you have chosen the your niche market so that you can get your market share and profit.

Affiliate Marketing – Complete Guide to Finding a Niche Market For Your Blog

If you have finally decided to start your own blog, then firstly i would like to congratulate you. The reason is because the toughest thing to do is always to get started. I am sure you have heard about people rambling on non stop about niche markets and how to define your target market. This article will help shed some light on this topic.

Your blogging style and target audience always come hand in hand. The moment you decide to create a blog, you must figure out what your target audience is; you must know what do they want to read and find out more from your blog. The articles your write on your blog must provide quality and value to your readers in order to build up a relationship with them. If you provide quality information, it would be very effective in building up communication and your readership. Encouraging your readers to leave comments in your blog works fine as well.

At a closer look, the definition of a niche market could be broken down into 3 criteria:

1. A group of people – This particular group of people (targeted audience) interested in a particular hobby, interest or profession.

2. Searching for a solution – Your targeted audience would be better if they are searching for a solution, and you are there to provide it to them. You need to find this group of people through what they are looking for. The most practical way is to use keyword research tools to find out exactly what phrases or questions these people are typing into the search engines to find a solution.

3. They are not finding many relevant results – It would be easier to establish your blog in a smaller and more targeted market than a saturated one. The reason is because if you wish to write a blog to publish updates on soccer news, you would realise that many websites out there are already doing so and the competition is very stiff. In this case you lose out on your readership and traffic.

I advise that people start with their own passions, hobbies, interest or expertise.

You might find this formula handy:

My niche market is people who are (action word) + (your passions)

Here are some examples:

My niche market is people who are (learning) to (play the piano).

My niche market is people who are trying to (build) a (dog kennel).
My niche market is people who are learning to (cook) (French-style cuisine).

Use this questionnaire to dig deeper into your interests.

What websites do you visit when you have nothing to do? What topics do these websites cover?
Do you collect anything?
Do you play any sports?
Do you have pets?
Do you have any specialized knowledge? Example: Flower Arrangement, Gardening Skills…
What is your occupation? What field or area of interest does it deal in?
Is there anything you really want to learn about, but you gave up because of the time constraint in your life?

Come up with a list of at least 3 or more interests and you are ready to go!

Holding Back from Choosing Your Affiliate Marketing Niche?
