Internet marketing jobs are found almost everywhere and any business that has an internet presence will have someone performing this job. After doing a bit of research I was able to discover what the average pay for someone in marketing makes for different businesses as well as the reported incomes from those that do it from their home as affiliates. The first question that everyone asks, and it’s pretty natural to want to know before you even start, is what kind of money can you make with your particular job choice. I will admit I have looked at salaries and hourly pay before I even look at the job requirements or work. Now when you look at these numbers your eyes light up and the size of just the average amount but before you start re-writing your resume think about what the need for each of these jobs are. Most of them need at least a marketing degree. Unless you happen to have received one the last time you went to school you need to go back and spend a few more years and a few more dollars to get it. The second issue you may run into is the competition. There is a lot of competition for these high paying jobs and people with experience or know the guy hiring will get the job before anyone fresh out of college does. If you were just starting your education career then choosing this particular line of work can be beneficial in several years once you get a degree and get some experience under your belt. These are only the top three methods that internet marketing offer and there are many different sub categories you can look at but what it seems to me is that there is a lot more risk than a job but with it comes a lot more reward. I know that these numbers don’t show an average as it is almost impossible to find an average with so many part-time, full-time, and professional businesses but the range of it seems pretty consistent. You can either lose money or make a lot. There is also a lot of middle room where you can break even, make a little or lose a little but they are both there. So what does this come down to?
If you want one of the many Internet marketing jobs, you need to start early. Internet marketing jobs aren’t the easiest to achieve and have all the perks and down side of the job title. Internet marketing, jobs where you work for yourself have a great potential but are not guaranteed to make any money and in fact you can lose money. Most people find a job and dabble in Internet marketing. If they have a knack for it they move full-time and do well. A few months ago, I decided to order a Photo Book from Apple’s Photo Services since I use iPhoto to manage all my pictures. The book was to be a consolidation of family pictures taken in various events over the years as a gift for my mom. As the delivery took longer than expected, I wrote to the customer support services who promptly replied with a shipment status. A few days ago, the customer support wrote to me again just to check if I have received my package and wanted to ensure I am completely satisfied with my Apple Photo Services experience.
I responded that I had indeed received the Photo Book, but the pictures turned out darker than what I had set online when I placed the order. It was more of a causal comment that a complain, honestly. To my surprise, the customer support said she was sorry for not meeting my expectation, and that she had gone ahead to issue a full refund for my order! I was asked to consider resubmitting my order and the quality issues should be resolved with a second printing. The email also contained technical information explaining why some images may appear slightly darker than what I viewed on my computer’s display.
Basically, I was blown away by the shopping experience. Would I go back to Apple Photo Services? Yes, certainly! They have created a Blue Ocean strategic space where many of their competitors lack. The iPhoto interface feature itself is already a killer.
The Internet Marketing business is no different. Many Internet Marketers simply offer loads of Affiliate products through their websites banking on visitors to click and buy. Through my personal experience, the hit rate is extremely low, meaning unless you have tons of targeted traffic, it is unlikely to bring enough food on the table.
That is the reason why I like Adam Short’s Niche Profit Classroom program. It is likely one of the best legitimate Internet Marketing courses that I have committed and benefitted from. In many ways, the Niche Profit Classroom is actually a display of the Blue Ocean approach. It teaches how to locate a niche where most people ignore.
