Learn How to Save Money, Earn Money & Go Green With Internet Affiliate Marketing in a Bad Economy

Are we in a recession or depression? Well, that depends on you who talk to. Most people tend to agree that the economy is pretty shaky and that people are scared. The bail out is a mess. People are losing their jobs, their homes, their dignity. Blah blah, blah.

The first thing you should do is stop watching the news. This negativity can begin to wear on you. Don’t let it. Your economy is what you make it. Only you can determine your future. This is a time where people need to take action starting with their budget and look for ways to save money. For those out there with only one source of income, especially if it is a job then you need to figure another way to make money. Get a Plan B.

No matter how bad it is or how little money you have, the fact remains that you will still need to shop. Maybe it will only be the necessitates, but you will have to buy them somewhere. Right?

Internet shopping is on the rise for that reason, among many others. Retailers are offering big discounts and Free shipping many times. Not only will you save money on parking and gas, you will reduce your carbon footprint and save your valuable time.

There are a few tricks to getting maximum savings.

1. Comparison shop – Many times you can Google an item and compare prices, but I also recommend Pricegrabber.com and Nextag.com to find the lowest price.

2. Sign up for email from your favorite stores – They will send you coupon codes, discounts and specials.

3. Coupon codes – Always search Google for Ex: “Macy’s coupon codes”. There are a ton of coupon sites and you can usually get a discount or free shipping. Currentcodes.com is a really good place to find them. When you check out then you will see a box to enter that code and receive the discount.

4. Shipping charges – Freeshipping.org is a great place to look for Free shipping. many time the shipping is still cheaper than if you drive to the store with the cost of fuel and your time.

5. Sales Tax Savings – Be sure to look for stores that are out of your state so that yo can save the sales tax. Drugstore.com is a great example for me because I buy all of my toiletries, prescriptions, household items and save an additional 6%. Plus they have a program where they also give you 5% drugstore dollars on most items to spend on future orders. It really adds up big time & has saved me time and money because I no longer walk out of a store with impulse items.

6. Join an Internet Affiliate Program – This is the BIG BONUS! – You can earn from 1-30% cash back in addition to the savings mentioned above. There are over 800 stores with everything you could ever need. Pet supplies, office supplies, Airfare, Hotels, household cleaning products, healthy snacks, vitamins, prescription drugs, clothes, shoes, organic and eco-friendly products.

7. Become a Ecommerce Broker – It only makes sense that you would share these incredible discounts and savings with other people, wouldn’t you? Consumers are desperate to save money and in my opinion everyone needs a plan B during these tough economic times. You would agree, wouldn’t you?

A family of four should save on average approximately $ 200 per month or more based on these shopping strategies all combined. An Ecommerce Broker has unlimited income potential. Forrester Research, Inc. forecast that eCommerce will be $ 329 billion in 2010, which is up from $ 172 billion in 2005. The increase translates to a solid 14 percent compound annual growth rate over the next five years.

An Ecommerce Broker has an opportunity to position themselves in two industries that are experiencing tremendous growth. Internet Affiliate Marketing (eCommerce) & the environmental movement. Where do you see yourself in the next 5-10 years? What is your plan B and do you have a financial plan in place to get you there?

Stacy Kinney is an Internet Network Marketing and Social Media coach. She teaches the most effective methods for lead generation on the internet today. Stacy is implementing this proven marketing system with all of her new Ecommerce Brokers that wish to have quick national expansion.

7 Secret Steps Most People Don’t Know About Affiliate Marketing

1. Get Inspired

Take a pen and a list of paper. Write down everything that you love doing, as many as you can recall from your past experience. If the product you try to sell is something that interests you personally, you will get much more joy from promoting it. The more passionate you are about what you do, the more chances that you will succeed and make profit. This is what separates full-time internet marketers from those who only end up loosing money online, trying and buying every single product out there about “work from home opportunities” and hardly ever get their foot in the door.

2. Find The Crowd

Once you have got some nice and neat ideas you think will sky rocket – well, its time to do some Market Research. This crucial step ensures that there is enough demand for your product/services idea. All you need is a starving crowd for whatever it is that you trying sell. One of the coolest tool to use, which is free, is Google Trends. It is absolutely amazing when combined with Google Sets to both analyze the market trend and expand potential keywords. What you want to achieve here is to make a list of at least 7 “hot products”.

3. Know Your Competitors

Now that you’ve got a list of hot products, which hopefully you are passionate about, it’s time to see how much is the competition out there? Again, try Google Keyword Tool. This brilliant free service will tell you exactly how much competition exist for any given keyword, and how much is the search volume for that particular search. The key, is to target niches, which have higher KEI (Keyword Effectiveness Index). If you were to place an Ad campaign through Google, the higher the KEI is for your keyword, the better ROI (Return On Investment) you would get.

4. Traffic Generation

Just as with any traditional “brick and mortar” business where customers are everything, for online internet business “traffic” is everything. There is a proportional line between sales and traffic that you can generate. If you are just starting out and don’t want to risk hard earned money, try with free traffic generation strategies first. Some places like: Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Linkedin, classifieds, articles, Yahoo answers and many many others will give you opportunity to expose your message in front of thousands of targeted internet users(you can find more tricks and tips in the link below). This has proven to be a very affective way of getting lots of free traffic and you don’t even have to spend a penny, unlike any other overused tools like Google Ads, which is increasingly becoming harder to monetize from.

5. Tracking

Once things are up and running, make sure you have a way of tracking results. Bit.ly is one of the many great tools to shorten your affiliate link and keep tracking for free. It will even show you user’s demographic information and graph of click volumes and dates. A few things you want to be able to track back: user’s location(additional: age, sex, and etc, there more specific the better), time-date, source where clicks were generated and which ones actually converted into sales. All of these useful information will be necessary for the next step.

6. Optimization

Now lets say for example you spent $ 450 on ads and got 1000 clicks (45 cents per click). At the conversion rate of 2%, from above 1000 clicks you get 20 sales. Each sale makes you $ 20 (after all reductions). So now you have made $ 400 and spend $ 450 for advertising. Wow! you just made a profit of $ 50 !!! Just kidding, nooooo, you actually lost $ 50! That’s why not optimizing properly will only make holes in your pockets bigger. So make sure you keep good tracking of everything you can to optimize campaigns. Always test, test and test again! To find out what works best, don’t assume, because many things can not be easily predicted.

7. New Hot Trends

Almost every product will have it’s picks and downfalls. For example “online business opportunities” are hot at the moment. There literally thousands of people out there who just lost their jobs and looking for the next income source to pay bills, to feed their family, and the list goes on. So, just keep en eye on whats going on around you and soon you will find some other areas that you might want to explore as well, which perhaps are untapped and hold some great money making opportunities.

Affiliate Marketing Tips – Don’t Get Burned by a Convoluted Sales Process

Affiliate marketing can actually be very easy. It’s not rocket science if you just follow a few basic steps in regard to finding and reviewing a product, and promoting it. Unfortunately, some product merchants make things so darn convoluted that no matter how good YOUR efforts, you’re going to end up losing lots of sales. This article is going to show you what to be on the lookout for when promoting a product as an affiliate. You might want to make note of some of these.

For starters, I tend to look for a product that has as simple a sales page as possible. I know that long copy converts (I’m a copywriter) but there is long and then there is ridiculous. You can write too much. So go over the sales page and use some judgment as to whether or not you think the page itself is going to do the job it’s supposed to do. This is a gut instinct thing. There are no hard and fast rules here.

Secondly, I tend to stay away from confusing opt in pages. Some products have squeeze pages that are so convoluted that the prospect can’t possibly know what they’re supposed to do when they get there. Ultimately, they end up just leaving the page without even opting in. This is a surefire way to lose a sale. So I look for squeeze pages that are short and to the point and explicitly point out what the steps are and what will happen after the prospect completes them.

Finally, I make sure that I check out the sales process for any leaks. I’m talking about links to a blog or a video. These only distract the prospect from what they’re supposed to be doing there…buying the product. I also stay away from sales pages that say, “Affiliates sign up here.” In the make money niche, this is a recipe for disaster as most people in this niche will simply sign up and then buy the product through their own link. Outside of this niche, it’s not as big a problem. Most people looking for acne cures aren’t interested in signing up as an affiliate.

Bottom line is this. The simpler the sales process is, the easier it is for YOU to close the sale with methods as simple as an article on the topic and a comprehensive review of the product itself posted on your blog. This simple system works well for me and should work well for you too.

As long as the product creator doesn’t make the prospect jump through too many hoops.
