Pay Per Click (PPC) Marketing – Profit With Free Yet Powerful Tracking & Testing Tools

1 of the most important aspects of pay per click marketing is none other tracking & testing. Even when this is a super fast direct marketing media, the way we test & track is so much easier than the way we test & track offline marketing campaigns.

At the same time, there are so many free yet robust tracking tools. In fact, some people claim that they are willing to pay thousands of dollars if these same tools were not free in the first place.

Conversion Tracking

Inside Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing, MSN AdCenter, there is a conversion tracking function, all you need to do is to add a small piece of code on your thank you page & that will do. It can be used for tracking either leads or sales.

Google Website Optimizer

This is another gift from Google & you can find it inside your AdWords account. Years ago there was a similar tool sold by a famous internet marketer for about $ 500, once Google Website Optimizer was given for free, he pulled his product off the market because he cannot beat the price that Google is offering.

Multivariable Testing

On top of the normal a/b split testing, this tool can do multivariable testing. In case, you are not sure, multivariable testing is a super charged way of split testing. You can test multiple headlines, call to action, offer, price & find the exact combination which converts best for you.

If you search around, you would find that most multivariable testing tools are usually quite expensive so you should be glad that you can simply use the free tools. Anyway, Google Website Optimizer is better than most other paid tools out there.

Is There A Catch?

Some people refuse to use free tools by Google because they afraid that their conversion data will be revealed to them! Personally, I feel that we should not be afraid because Google is not your competitor, they are just getting more data to improve their services to benefit both you & I.

AdWords Tips – 3 Quick Tips For Boosting Your Profits From Pay Per Click Marketing

As you may well know, AdWords represents a technique which will allow you, the website owner, to gain paid traffic. The benefit here is that it is generally more successful than its more time-consuming and organic counterpart – SEO – but has the associated detriment that, well, quite obviously, you have to pay for it. As such it will be in your best interest to ensure that you get your money’s worth, which is why I deemed it appropriate to dispense a couple of AdWords tips in your favor:

1. Negative Keywords

To start off, let’s look at a few ways that can save you money. The first thing you need to do is to ensure that you have a list of negative keywords ready to go when setting up your AdWords ad. The reason for this is that your ad won’t get listed when internet users search for any of the negative keywords, which means that you’ll only get hits on those keywords you do want and that, in turn, will supply you with an audience more likely to have an interest in what you have to offer (therefore an increase in your conversion potential).

2. Enticing Copy

In terms of AdWords tips, this one is perhaps the most important – it refers to the words you use in your ads… those very words that could convince someone to click on the link to your website or, quite simply, ignore it.

A bit of advice: if you don’t fancy yourself good with writing short, powerful and persuasive copy, then you might be better off by making use of a professional copywriter to ensure that your ad gets the energy it needs to ensure your success!

3. Landing Pages

There’s only one reason people will click on your ad – they find that whatever your AdWords copy said could help them solve a specific problem or address a certain need. However, take care to ensure that the page they land on is directly related to the theme of the ad. Should your visitors land on a page that says “Wheels” instead of “Exhausts” as the ad promised, they’ll be clicking the back button before you know it.

Pay Per Click (PPC) Marketing Tips – How to Run a Long Term Business

If you want to make more money with less stress, you need to have a long term view of your business. First of all, you must take pay per click marketing seriously & treat it as part of your business process.

Google Guidelines

Google AdWords provided many guidelines to help you do just that. Do not see it as a bunch of silly rules that creates more work for you, instead, see it as a guide to help improve your business & to serve your clients better than before.

Quality Score

Take a closer look at the things you need to do to improve your quality score. These are things that help you become more relevant, like matching your keywords, ads & landing pages. They also help you look more professional & trustworthy, especially when you have a contact page & privacy policy page.

Segmenting

For your business profits to compound over time, you need to build a list of email subscribers. Then separate the lists based on what they bought, do remember to also have a list of people who have not bought from you yet. When you do this, you can send out separate relevant offers by email regularly.

Another advantage of building your list is the fact that when you pay for a click, that money is gone forever. If you cannot get enough sales, you will lose money. With your own list, you have many more opportunities to make more sales because you are following up with email.

Survey

When you have a list of subscribers, you can ask them to do surveys & instantly you are getting accurate feedback based on what they want. When you know what they really want, you can offer it to them & you can make a lot of sales. After all, you are offering to them what they already wanted in the first place!

Summary

Pay per click might be getting more expensive with time, however, when you are using it to build your list, your business will surely last for the long term.

Pay Per Click (PPC) Marketing Tips – How to Use Google Analytics

In pay per click, there are a number of tracking & testing tools which are available to you at no cost. Many smart advertisers use Google website optimizer & Google analytics. However, few people really know how to make full use of analytics when it comes to pay per click marketing campaigns.

Google Analytics

The first few things you need to do before you use analytics is to create an account, create a profile for your website then add a piece of code on the pages within the footer area of your website.

Average Time

Using the tracking function within Google AdWords or the testing functions of Google website optimizer, you can never tell how long a visitor is viewing your website. When you look at the average time people are on your specific landing page, it can be an indicator of how effective your landing page is.

Browser Type

Do you know which internet browser most of your visitors are using? You can find out within Google analytics. The reason why you need to know is because the newer the browser, the more technologically savvy your visitors are, the older the browser the less savvy they are.

Now that you know their level of comfort with technology, you can tailor your communications based on that. If they are very savvy, you can afford to test out the newer technology, if they are less savvy, you go for the simplest possible solution.

Conversion Funnel

Set your goals based on the visitor path. Maybe your flow is in this order, squeeze page, confirmation page, sales page, thank you page. This is your conversion funnel, you can see where exactly your visitors dropping off & you will know exactly where & what to fix.

Maybe you are getting many people subscribing to your email newsletter yet not as many clicked on the confirmation link, so you need to have a better message telling them to open their email to click on a confirmation link.

Summary

There are so many other ways to improve the flow of your search marketing campaign, this is a simple little idea which is easy to implement, therefore you should test it out as soon as you can.

Pay Per Click (PPC) Marketing Tips – Understanding the Mindset of People

In order for you to be an effective pay per click marketer, you must understand the mindset of people, especially when they are online doing searches. The majority of people who are searching online are usually looking for information, it is up to you to turn that into your favor so that you can profit.

Solving A Problem

Many times when people are looking for a solution to their problem, they go to their favorite search engine, type in some words & hit the search button. Then they look at the search results hoping to find something to click. When your ad speaks to them, they will click it even though they know it is an ad.

Depending on the nature of the problem, some of them can be solved with a single purchase. Maybe a teenager is looking for acne treatment, once he makes a purchase, he stops searching. Maybe a parent has an autistic child & he is looking for help, he might continue to buy different books over time.

Some problems can be solved easily, some cannot be solved but can be controlled. For problems which be solved with a single purchase, focus your ad copy on the urgency of the problem. For problems which requires long term solutions, focus your your ad copy on the impact of the problem.

Scratching An Itch

Some people are looking to scratch an itch, it might be a hobby or they just want to find out more about a certain topic. For hobbies, it is usually an itch that can never end! For example, some people have been buying audio equipment for many years.

Depending on the hobby, some will cause people to spend money over a long period of time. Some people own many more golf clubs than they need, others have a huge collection of books, CDs, DVDs & more.

Most of the people who are scratching an itch will continue for many years to come. When it comes to hobbies, you need to do proper research so that you will know the specific insider words that your audience uses. Then, you use those words in your ad copy. When you appear as an insider, they will trust you more.

Summary

Now that you understand the mindset of people, you will be able to write more compelling ads to get more of them to click & to present offers which they will be more willing to buy.

Pay Per Click VS Article Submission: The Better Marketing Strategy

The dawn of internet marketing has been lingering for quite a while now. A lot of business, job opportunities, and marketing strategies could be experienced in the World Wide Web, giving everyone the benefit of convenience and easy access. Two of the well accepted marketing strategy being appreciated by everyone is the Pay Per Click Advertising, where you get to advertise your business, subjected to pay for every time it will be clicked by a surfer; and Article Submission, which involves the conventional creation of articles and publishing them for everyone to notice. But in trying to analyze the effects of Pay Per Click VS Article Submission, which one is a better way to success?

For a beginner, Article marketing is a good strategy. The articles you make, for one, can be done without capital. Since you are in the beginning process, it will not be much of a burden if no one manages to click on your article and have an interest on reading it. Creating articles and publishing them does not necessarily require any payment. Apart from that, this type of marketing could be considered as a long-term marketing strategy, with you publishing your articles for public reading for as long as you like. There is also no need to constantly check your articles to see the fruits of your labor after publishing them. The readers will naturally flow to your website to check out your business as they read the articles.

In Pay Per Click advertising, on the other hand, there is a need to constantly check your advertisements to make sure that they are being entered into by readers. In this marketing strategy, you will have to pay for your advertisement based on how many times it was clicked. Frankly speaking, this advertising strategy is advised for those who are already established in the field of online business. That means if there are one hundred readers who clicked on your advertisement, you are to pay for the one hundred clicks worth of advertisement. It is very inconvenient especially in the case of beginners, seeing as there might be a big chance that not everyone would get to visit your site. What’s more, in Pay Per Click, there are usually quotas that must be reached, i.e. a designated number of clicks in a day. If they cannot be reached, you might end up paying more than what is necessary.

Advertising and business are two things that are very risky. You should always be prepared to take on the challenge of facing the possibility of failure every time you attempt something. It is like a battle where victory is never assured. But in selecting the perfect strategy in order to ensure success on your part, you must take extreme caution and assurance that you will be able to do it well, and nothing will be compromised as you take on the challenge of the world of business and advertisement. Choose carefully between Pay Per Click and Article Submission – or use them both – and reap the benefits of your hard work and determination.

Pay Per Click (PPC) Marketing – Winning Starts From Your Mindset

As much as pay per click marketing is an art & science, some people call it a game of numbers & psychology. Anyway all forms of direct marketing, both online & offline are really all about numbers & psychology, as simple as that.

You are about to shift your mindset about pay per click to put yourself in a state where you can win big time. Are you ready? Read on.

Making Money? Spending Money?

First of some people are afraid to spend money to buy clicks because they are afraid of losing money! Think about this in another way, if for every $ 1 that you put in, you get back $ 1.5, how much more are you willing put in? Now spending money on clicks takes on a different meaning to you.

As you know, not all campaigns make money, when you spend money buying clicks & you get very little leads or zero sales, what do you do? I know these losses can be painful because I was there before. You can choose to be bitter & quit or you can choose to evaluate your campaigns & learn from your mistakes.

In reality, most affiliate campaigns (9 out of 10) actually fail! Those winning campaigns usually make enough money to cover up for the losses plus some money left over as profits. You do need to go through a some losing campaigns to find those super hot winning ones. Eventually, it is all worth it!

Winners are actually losers who learn from their mistakes. Winners may sometimes lose a battle, however nothing stops them from winning the entire war. If you forget everything, just remember what I just said.

Breaking Even?

Whenever I break even or a make a tiny loss on a campaign, I would usually get quite excited because all I need to do is write better ads to improve my click through rates, make some improvements on my landing pages & in no time, I would be in the black.

Making Profits?

When I make some profits, I will not stop there, as always, I would create more compelling ads to get more clicks, make my landing pages convert better & before I know it, a small campaign can become much profitable than when I just started it. Sometimes I even expand my traffic by getting organic traffic.

Conclusion

In short, when you make mistakes, learn from it & move on. When you make profits scale it up. Keep a marketing journal to keep track of the changes you made, what made more money, what made less money & such stuff. After all, things that you do not keep a record, you will eventually forget.

Pay Per Click Marketing to Generate Leads For You

Everyone knows that the life blood for a Network Marketer is LEADS. No leads equals no business! The 64 million dollar question is “how do I get leads without going broke”? Before I answer this question we need to discuss a few other options that are more suited for many Marketers, especially new Marketers.

There are ways to get free leads. Writing valuable content in Ezine directories is one great place to start. Just share what you know, that may be valuable to others, and offer something free in exchange for their contact information. This is not rocket science but just a little work.

Another great way to get FREE leads is to create a blog. A blog is simply a web presence where you as the author can talk about your choice of subjects. It would be wise to address a particular group that you are going to market to so that your subject matter would be relevant. Free blog sites can be found at blogger.com and within a couple of hours, anyone can be blogging. A very imaginative person can have lots of fun with a blog and create a very nice income.

Another great source for the savvy computer geek would be WordPress. It is also free but requires hosting. WordPress is the number one blog source on the Internet.

One other source of free leads is through viral marketing. This is a very simple method of creating a signature file and placing a link in every out-going email you send. Let’s say you send a funny video to 100 of your contacts and you ask them to pass the email along. Many people, rather than copy and paste the email, will just forward it with your signature file at the bottom. If many of your contacts pass the email along, and those recipients pass it again, your link has the possibility of being seen by thousands!

There are many other sources of free leads, but I must move on to the subject at hand, which is Pay Per Click Marketing. This requires setting up a Google account which is very simple to do through doing a Google search.

Pay per click marketing to generate leads will require close attention and monitoring. You will need to start slow and keep an eye on the amount of money you are spending. Google doesn’t care about how much you spend, they are more concerned about the relevancy of your add to the customer’s search.

Once you create the account you will set up a campaign, for instance if you were targeting Network Marketers, you might want to target some major MLM companies. You would then create Ad Groups based on these companies.

Your ads will be built around keywords and to find the best keywords you simply type in Google keyword tool and it is a very simple process to look for good keywords.

You will then be asked to set your daily spending limit and the higher the better. You can even put $ 100.00 per day because if you are getting clicks for .25 each, you wouldn’t get that many clicks per day. The higher $ limit helps you get better ranking. This is the reason you would want to monitor this closely until you learned a good deal about this type advertising.

The best way to master Pay Per Click is like anything else, you practice and learn. Google has many instructions and help that will teach the ropes.

There you have it, easy ways to get traffic to your site. Watch for more articles and we will discuss the next step, which will be marketing to those who visit your capture page.

If you feel like this information was helpful to you, please click the link below and place your first name and email address in the boxes. You will then have access to my FREE report that will be much more detailed than this article.

Pay Per Click – A Good Way of Marketing

One of the most important matters that businessmen always concern is publicizing their products or services. In this situation, pay per click advertisement is a good method. You can easily earn money in this way as long as you possess a website.

Pay per click advertising could give you much monetary benefits if you have your own website or blog. And it is also a good way to earn income in a situation where you have a lot of web site traffics on your web page.

Through your page, businessmen advertise their products and services and when one will click on the ad, you will be paid for it. There are even pay per click advertisers who will share percentage of money to you every time the ad will be clicked and then buy the product.

If you have little traffic on your website, this is not a good option for you because this is could be best if you have more and more clicks on the ad.

Nonetheless, if you have many consistent visitors in you websites or blogs per day, pay per click can be added without fee and this is a possible to way to earn more income.

This option also is very good for advertisers because if they advertise their products or services through pay per click, the advertiser can look and find a busy website which produce many traffics.

So when a website produces a lot of traffics and the marketer’s advertisements are on that website, this could be a great opportunity that the advertisement can be clicked and viewed by the internet users.

Pay per click advertisements can be added on multiple websites which create a lot of page views. In this manner, this doubles or triples the number of people who view the advertisements thus your product or services are offered.

Make sure that your kitchen flooring would be great the next time to do kitchen renovations.

Restaurant Marketing Pay Per Click Advertising

How to get instant traffic to your Restaurant Website through Google Pay-per-click marketing…

If you’d like to get some instant results with Google while your SEO campaign is under way, a great way to do this would be using Google’s pay-per-click advertising platform.

You see, whenever you type a search term into Google, you get some paid ads at the very top (highlighted in yellow or pink) and to there are more to the very right of the page, as well. The rest of the results are the “free,” organic listings.

The paid ads’ placement are based on the ad’s price (what you’re willing to pay per click) and its popularity (Google rewards you with cheaper clicks for having a popular ad).

So you could actually have the top paid ad… without paying the most per click!

Why?

Relevancy!

Google is the top search engine because they give their customers (searchers) what they want (aka what they’re searching for).

So as long as you bid on keywords that are relevant to your business and send them to a page that gives them what your ad promises, you can have a top ad placement (without having to pay top dollar).

But there’s one thing a lot of restaurant owners are really screwing up on…

Not sending their prospects to a conversion-focused landing page!

You see, when using a pay-per-click strategy for your restaurant marketing campaign, you want to make sure you convert that traffic into leads and sales.

So you want to send your ppc traffic to a squeeze page, which is a web-page whose sole purpose is to convert traffic to leads and sales.

Also, make sure and ad Google’s tracking code to your page and you’ll see exactly how much each lead is costing you.

Not only that, once you have a baseline like that to go from, you can test different strategies to get better results…

Examples of things you can test include…

* Headlines: colors, text, font, etc.
* Video versus text (or both)
* Your opt-in form: placement, design, colors, offer

This is what makes the Internet great — everything is trackable! Because, as long as you know your numbers, you can know what’s working best and spend accordingly.

This is one reason we recommend setting up a Google PPC campaign before you spend a lot of time or money trying to rank for a keyword through SEO.

This is, of course, another thing we know how to do quite well and can help you with…
