It provides all you need in a virtual marketplace but you have to be able to utilize its potential before you are able to reap its many benefits. When you have established a Facebook account, you should be aiming to add as
many friends and fans as possible. The more friends and fans you have, the more people are exposed to your product/service. Besides, you can usually see your friends’ friends and what better way to build your network and boost your marketing efforts? Posting comments on other people’s profile page in Facebook is a great way to extend your network of friends and profile viewers.
You can also join or create a group. This is perfect for drawing people to your profile page as they have something in common with you. Common interests could be wealth building, fashion design, good parenting or whatever pertains to your product or service.
Facebook’s Ads feature enables you to officially advertise or market your brand, business or products. For example, its Advanced Targeting feature can be used to target your niche market by age, gender, interests, location and more. By having this feature, you will be able to quickly find people that may be interested in purchasing the products or services that you are offering.
The News Feed feature is great for broadcasting what your business is up to. So if for instance you are offering discounts or launching a new product line, you can announce it to your Facebook network. Hosting an event and posting it in the News Feed will get people in your network interested and they may even tell other people in their network to join in the fun. This is a great way to promote a product or service.
Posting news articles is also a great way to get people’s attention in Facebook. This will generate targeted traffic. For example, if you are selling nutritional supplements, you may want to post the latest news on health related matters. This will generate targeted traffic that will most likely be interested in what you are marketing.
If you have an active Twitter account where you tweet very actively, do not connect Twitter and Facebook. Twitter is not Facebook and you will annoy your Facebook friends and force them to remove you as a friend or hide you from their feed. What could be worse?
Facebook’s marketing solutions, if used effectively, can promote brand loyalty and increase product sales. It is up to the marketer to use it to its full advantage. Well, probably the biggest reason, and one of the main reasons that I do it, is because it’s free. You don’t have to worry about how much you are paying for each click on your advert like in pay per click nor about what keywords are working and trying to make your ad campaigns more cost effective. As I don’t have a lot of capital to go spending on pay per click advertising, whilst it may get me a lot of visitors to my website, I just can’t afford it.

Another reason is that once you’ve written an article, it is out there on the Internet as content forever. All you have to do is write one article and it will be there all the time, you don’t have to worry about how much you are bidding on a click, while that isn’t the only factor to do with pay per click, and therefore don’t have to worry about having to bid to get in front of people.

Some article directories are looked upon favorably by the search engines and therefore an article put on an article publishing website, is more likely to get listed on the search engines and higher up quicker than just content published on one’s website. This is because the publishing websites have been around longer than a beginner’s website and is therefore trusted, plus, some of the publishing websites are human read and thus lots of articles get rejected because they don’t match the criteria that is set out by the publisher.
This then makes the search engine think that the information on the website of the article publisher must be relevant as it has been vetted before it’s been put on that website.

The reason that so many new affiliates are saying “how come I’m not making any money?” is because they want to try everything at once. So many beginners are writing articles, managing a PPC campaign, linking, and creating videos right on their first day of being an affiliate. They try to learn everything at once thinking that they will make more. But the truth is you are just spreading yourself to thin. Go out there and look at all the different strategies. Pick one and stick to it for at least 3 months. It is better and much easier than sticking to 10 things for 3 months.
Stick with One Product
Another thing you should be aware of especially when you are just beginning is that you should only market one or two products. As you start getting more successful, you will be mature enough to market 5 products at a time and so on. The reason you should stick to one in the beginning is because you will be able to soak in more knowledge and experience. You will have more focus. You can improve upon your mistakes and have a clearer view of what is going on.
Find a Mentor
This is the most important part. I bet that you are thinking that it is not worth paying for any kind of knowledge or mentorship. The truth is that you will make money much faster if you just let someone else teach you all the shortcuts. Let them build you a foundation and then just add on to it as you go along with your own experiments. You don’t always have to pay for this kind of help; you can simply just read the articles (or videos) of those whom interest you for free. But they always leave important pieces out. Just buy their stuff and see what can happen.
