Beginner Affiliate Marketing Tips – The Best Ways to Find a Niche That Pays

It can seem hard to find a great niche, whether you’re creating niche websites or doing niche campaigns on Squidoo or other web 2.0 platforms. People can make it really hard though, it doesn’t have to be that hard.

How to find a buying niche

When you want to find a “buying niche” think about where people are going to buy and then go look and see what it is they are buying. You can generally find keywords for those things that aren’t very competitive at all.

Going to shopping dot com is my favorite place to look. You can see all the products they sell, and when you click in any category they are shown by popularity. This tells you people are already buying what is there.

A little quick keyword research and you can usually find plenty of keywords that will be easy to rank for. When you’re doing this technique try to look for products that are in the higher price range. This way you can monetize with amazon or eBay and still get a nice commission check.

The benefits of looking for physical product niches are:

They are evergreen, people are always going to need a washing machine, or a bed. They never go out of style.

You can sell from a trusted source, like Amazon and gain credibility from their name.

You can benefit from Amazon’s amazing use of upsell, because you get commission on any product someone buys when they go through your link. You may sell a dishwasher, and then they realize they need dish soap, and jet dry etc, all of that adds up, and so does your commission.

The niches are a  LOT less competitive. You can find niches with over 75k searches a month and not one competitive site on Squidoo and minimal competition on Google.

These are the  kinds of niches you are looking for, because it means you can quickly and easily get to the top of Google search listings with minimal work, and begin to get tons of free traffic to your site, and buying through your link.

Bottom line Don’t make finding a niche harder than it has to be. The niche(s) you choose is where your money is at. Learn How to Save Money, Earn Money & Go Green With Internet Affiliate Marketing in a Bad Economy

Are we in a recession or depression? Well, that depends on you who talk to. Most people tend to agree that the economy is pretty shaky and that people are scared. The bail out is a mess. People are losing their jobs, their homes, their dignity. Blah blah, blah.

The first thing you should do is stop watching the news. This negativity can begin to wear on you. Don’t let it. Your economy is what you make it. Only you can determine your future. This is a time where people need to take action starting with their budget and look for ways to save money. For those out there with only one source of income, especially if it is a job then you need to figure another way to make money. Get a Plan B.

No matter how bad it is or how little money you have, the fact remains that you will still need to shop. Maybe it will only be the necessitates, but you will have to buy them somewhere. Right?

Internet shopping is on the rise for that reason, among many others. Retailers are offering big discounts and Free shipping many times. Not only will you save money on parking and gas, you will reduce your carbon footprint and save your valuable time.

There are a few tricks to getting maximum savings.

1. Comparison shop – Many times you can Google an item and compare prices, but I also recommend Pricegrabber.com and Nextag.com to find the lowest price.

2. Sign up for email from your favorite stores – They will send you coupon codes, discounts and specials.

3. Coupon codes – Always search Google for Ex: “Macy’s coupon codes”. There are a ton of coupon sites and you can usually get a discount or free shipping. Currentcodes.com is a really good place to find them. When you check out then you will see a box to enter that code and receive the discount.

4. Shipping charges – Freeshipping.org is a great place to look for Free shipping. many time the shipping is still cheaper than if you drive to the store with the cost of fuel and your time.

5. Sales Tax Savings – Be sure to look for stores that are out of your state so that yo can save the sales tax. Drugstore.com is a great example for me because I buy all of my toiletries, prescriptions, household items and save an additional 6%. Plus they have a program where they also give you 5% drugstore dollars on most items to spend on future orders. It really adds up big time & has saved me time and money because I no longer walk out of a store with impulse items.

6. Join an Internet Affiliate Program – This is the BIG BONUS! – You can earn from 1-30% cash back in addition to the savings mentioned above. There are over 800 stores with everything you could ever need. Pet supplies, office supplies, Airfare, Hotels, household cleaning products, healthy snacks, vitamins, prescription drugs, clothes, shoes, organic and eco-friendly products.

7. Become a Ecommerce Broker – It only makes sense that you would share these incredible discounts and savings with other people, wouldn’t you? Consumers are desperate to save money and in my opinion everyone needs a plan B during these tough economic times. You would agree, wouldn’t you?

A family of four should save on average approximately $ 200 per month or more based on these shopping strategies all combined. An Ecommerce Broker has unlimited income potential. Forrester Research, Inc. forecast that eCommerce will be $ 329 billion in 2010, which is up from $ 172 billion in 2005. The increase translates to a solid 14 percent compound annual growth rate over the next five years.

An Ecommerce Broker has an opportunity to position themselves in two industries that are experiencing tremendous growth. Internet Affiliate Marketing (eCommerce) & the environmental movement. Where do you see yourself in the next 5-10 years? What is your plan B and do you have a financial plan in place to get you there?

Stacy Kinney is an Internet Network Marketing and Social Media coach. She teaches the most effective methods for lead generation on the internet today. Stacy is implementing this proven marketing system with all of her new Ecommerce Brokers that wish to have quick national expansion.

7 Secret Steps Most People Don’t Know About Affiliate Marketing

1. Get Inspired

Take a pen and a list of paper. Write down everything that you love doing, as many as you can recall from your past experience. If the product you try to sell is something that interests you personally, you will get much more joy from promoting it. The more passionate you are about what you do, the more chances that you will succeed and make profit. This is what separates full-time internet marketers from those who only end up loosing money online, trying and buying every single product out there about “work from home opportunities” and hardly ever get their foot in the door.

2. Find The Crowd

Once you have got some nice and neat ideas you think will sky rocket – well, its time to do some Market Research. This crucial step ensures that there is enough demand for your product/services idea. All you need is a starving crowd for whatever it is that you trying sell. One of the coolest tool to use, which is free, is Google Trends. It is absolutely amazing when combined with Google Sets to both analyze the market trend and expand potential keywords. What you want to achieve here is to make a list of at least 7 “hot products”.

3. Know Your Competitors

Now that you’ve got a list of hot products, which hopefully you are passionate about, it’s time to see how much is the competition out there? Again, try Google Keyword Tool. This brilliant free service will tell you exactly how much competition exist for any given keyword, and how much is the search volume for that particular search. The key, is to target niches, which have higher KEI (Keyword Effectiveness Index). If you were to place an Ad campaign through Google, the higher the KEI is for your keyword, the better ROI (Return On Investment) you would get.

4. Traffic Generation

Just as with any traditional “brick and mortar” business where customers are everything, for online internet business “traffic” is everything. There is a proportional line between sales and traffic that you can generate. If you are just starting out and don’t want to risk hard earned money, try with free traffic generation strategies first. Some places like: Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Linkedin, classifieds, articles, Yahoo answers and many many others will give you opportunity to expose your message in front of thousands of targeted internet users(you can find more tricks and tips in the link below). This has proven to be a very affective way of getting lots of free traffic and you don’t even have to spend a penny, unlike any other overused tools like Google Ads, which is increasingly becoming harder to monetize from.

5. Tracking

Once things are up and running, make sure you have a way of tracking results. Bit.ly is one of the many great tools to shorten your affiliate link and keep tracking for free. It will even show you user’s demographic information and graph of click volumes and dates. A few things you want to be able to track back: user’s location(additional: age, sex, and etc, there more specific the better), time-date, source where clicks were generated and which ones actually converted into sales. All of these useful information will be necessary for the next step.

6. Optimization

Now lets say for example you spent $ 450 on ads and got 1000 clicks (45 cents per click). At the conversion rate of 2%, from above 1000 clicks you get 20 sales. Each sale makes you $ 20 (after all reductions). So now you have made $ 400 and spend $ 450 for advertising. Wow! you just made a profit of $ 50 !!! Just kidding, nooooo, you actually lost $ 50! That’s why not optimizing properly will only make holes in your pockets bigger. So make sure you keep good tracking of everything you can to optimize campaigns. Always test, test and test again! To find out what works best, don’t assume, because many things can not be easily predicted.

7. New Hot Trends

Almost every product will have it’s picks and downfalls. For example “online business opportunities” are hot at the moment. There literally thousands of people out there who just lost their jobs and looking for the next income source to pay bills, to feed their family, and the list goes on. So, just keep en eye on whats going on around you and soon you will find some other areas that you might want to explore as well, which perhaps are untapped and hold some great money making opportunities.

Affiliate Marketing Tips – Don’t Get Burned by a Convoluted Sales Process

Affiliate marketing can actually be very easy. It’s not rocket science if you just follow a few basic steps in regard to finding and reviewing a product, and promoting it. Unfortunately, some product merchants make things so darn convoluted that no matter how good YOUR efforts, you’re going to end up losing lots of sales. This article is going to show you what to be on the lookout for when promoting a product as an affiliate. You might want to make note of some of these.

For starters, I tend to look for a product that has as simple a sales page as possible. I know that long copy converts (I’m a copywriter) but there is long and then there is ridiculous. You can write too much. So go over the sales page and use some judgment as to whether or not you think the page itself is going to do the job it’s supposed to do. This is a gut instinct thing. There are no hard and fast rules here.

Secondly, I tend to stay away from confusing opt in pages. Some products have squeeze pages that are so convoluted that the prospect can’t possibly know what they’re supposed to do when they get there. Ultimately, they end up just leaving the page without even opting in. This is a surefire way to lose a sale. So I look for squeeze pages that are short and to the point and explicitly point out what the steps are and what will happen after the prospect completes them.

Finally, I make sure that I check out the sales process for any leaks. I’m talking about links to a blog or a video. These only distract the prospect from what they’re supposed to be doing there…buying the product. I also stay away from sales pages that say, “Affiliates sign up here.” In the make money niche, this is a recipe for disaster as most people in this niche will simply sign up and then buy the product through their own link. Outside of this niche, it’s not as big a problem. Most people looking for acne cures aren’t interested in signing up as an affiliate.

Bottom line is this. The simpler the sales process is, the easier it is for YOU to close the sale with methods as simple as an article on the topic and a comprehensive review of the product itself posted on your blog. This simple system works well for me and should work well for you too.

As long as the product creator doesn’t make the prospect jump through too many hoops.

How social media networks can grow your affiliate contact list

Facebook. Myspace. You’ve no doubt heard of these social networks, even if you haven’t used them. They are a potential goldmine, so it would be negligent to not discuss them – at least to give you an understanding of the potential profit that can be earned from their proper use in a marketing context.

Before social networks existed, there were newsgroups. Their limitation was that they were a completely linear model, much like a broadcast email.

With social networks, the ability to add to your list is multiplied. There is nearly unlimited potential due to the member’s ability to cross-communicate. In addition, groups are formed around specific interests. This creates a gathering of individuals who share a common interest. Because of this ability combined with the gathering of those individuals, we can now use it as a form to make money.

To utilize this technology, find a few groups to which your product may appeal. You can now browse through these interest groups and select a broad base of people to receive your message. Just as with article posting, you will want to post and leave your link. Don’t just post your link on the message boards, telling people to check you out. Remember, know like and trust. You have to be credible as well as add value in order to gain their interest.

Once you have identified those groups, reach out to your audience and get them interested in what you have to offer. An example would be if you wanted to sell a new mixer. You wouldn’t want to go into a shoe store, they would have no need for it, but if you went to a bakery, that would be a start. Make sure that you know the difference between features and benefits, but don’t expect them to get from one to the other.

Keep in mind we aren’t telling them to make a purchase; we’re not door to door salesmen. One of the advantages of the internet is the ability to form these relationships with multiple people and do so quite easily.

Get them interested in your product or knowledge. As you do so, they will be hitting your squeeze page and adding themselves to your opt-in list. Then they get your free gift or eBook. This gives them a taste, and builds what is called social equity. This is your reputation, simply put.

Now that you’ve gone into these groups, give them that first glass of water. Get them interested in your product or knowledge and sell them the second glass. You potentially have more clients when they pass the information on to their contacts. This is how you can get other groups interested that may not have had a previous interest.

This is one of the key points about so called “viral marketing”. If you have 100,000 people, in 100 groups, you can access 100 key individuals who will then access the 100,000 for you. Through this principle of leveraged effort, combined with your website’s leveraged time, you are now working more than 24 hours a day in essence, with little to no effort.

What you now have is an effective marketing tool that builds on your existing infrastructure. Ideally, you should be adding contacts every day. When you have people adding to your list every single day, that never saw your original message – you truly have cause to be excited.

Your goal is to create such an initial impact, that you will have an effort free “positive growth matrix”. This essentially is when without any additional work on your part; the number of people adding to your list exceeds attrition, or the rate at which people leave your list. Once this happens, you’ve reached a “critical mass”. When the existing base adds say 1% to your list size every week, the effects are much like compound interest.

This does NOT mean to let up your efforts. If you are growing your list, and thereby your profit with no effort, how much can you increase it by not letting up? This is your personal challenge, and you’re competing against yourself.

Make sure to track your efforts, and continue expanding to other groups or even other social networks. You will certainly be pleased with the results. You’ve almost got all of the tools in place. How exciting is it to know that once you’ve reached this critical mass, you have a source of income which isn’t based upon additional effort? Imagine taking a paid vacation – after all of this work, you’re almost ready for one, aren’t you?

Does Wealthy Affiliate Work? Find Out From A Member

Does Wealthy Affiliate work? You are wise to ask a question like that. There is way too much junk on the internet. Most of it doesn’t work at all, and is probably only useful for losing money. So it’s a good question to ask. Why the heck should Wealthy Affiliate be any different?

You’ve probably seen the site, so there is no use in me listing the features. You want to know what it can do for you. As smart people, we have to know the answer to these things before we jump in. I used to be skeptical of Wealthy Affiliate. Like you, I kept asking, “Does Wealthy Affiliate work?” The worst part was that no one was telling me.

Sure, there were plenty of ‘reviews’ on the internet claiming that it did, but most of were bias. Most of them were just Wealthy Affiliate members wanting a sale. So anyway, to finish the story, I ended up joining. It was more curiosity than anything else – I just wanted to know what it was like.

I’m not going to tell you to join anything, but I want you to know a few things about it. Wealthy Affiliate does have one on one coaching from Kyle and Carson. It’s not formal, but if you have a question you can ask them. They take a while to get back (probably due to so many people asking questions) but they do reply. I have had all my questions answered. It usually takes a few days.

It’s not one on one communication everyday with instructions for everything, it’s more about teaching yourself and asking questions when you need to.

So does Wealthy Affiliate work? In one word – Yes, but it’s more complicated than that.

How does Wealthy Affiliate work? Although one on one coaching is provided, it’s not personal mentoring for every day you are there. But is this a bad thing? I don’t think so. You see, the aim of Kyle and Carson (the creators of WA), was to create a university with everything you needed so you didn’t need to ask them questions. After I saw the learning resources of Wealthy Affiliate, I started to think that they had somewhat achieved their goal.

There was everything I needed in the learning resources. Then I had a look at the forums, and after a few minutes searching I realized that I could make back my membership with just the information in the forums.

The one on one coaching is there and you can ask questions, but most of the time, you don’t even need to. The answer is either in the learning resources, or in the forum. And if someone h

Affiliate Training Strategies For Building Credibility

Its great having a large list of email contacts to market our products to, isn’t it? Affiliate marketing is a fantastic way to boost your income without having to create new products.

Put yourself in the place of the people on your list. There certainly are a lot people selling out on the Internet, aren’t there? How does a person know who is going to provide products with real value and who’s just trying to make a buck? That, my friends, is the sixty-four-thousand-dollar question!

There are several strategies we can use to become known as “go-to” people for great products. I’m going to list the ones that have worked for me, to help get you started.

Strategies for Building Credibility

* Offer Great Products! This one’s my favorite, because it’s the simplest to do. I work hard to make sure the products my affiliates sell have worthwhile information that truly helps people. When you’re deciding what to market to your list, make sure it’s something you would buy.

* Be a Real Person! Sounds obvious, doesn’t it? The truth is, on some sites you can research, buy, and receive information products and still wonder if a computer just sold you something! Stand out from those automated, faceless online businesses by letting your personality shine through your marketing systems. Add personal testimonials to your landing page. A photo of yourself on your website lets people know who they’re dealing with. Develop your own “voice” in your auto responders, blog posts, and web content. One more great way to establish you as a real, live person on the Internet is to add audio or video clips that play on your landing page. Someone needs to reach across the Internet divide to clients, and it might as well be you!

* Actually Know the Product! Here’s a conversation I don’t want to have with a prospect, “Buy this great product, it’s only $ 19.95 and it will CHANGE YOUR LIFE!” “Really, how is it going to do that?” “Don’t know, but the man who wrote it says it’s going to CHANGE YOUR LIFE!” If you want to be credible as an Affiliate Marketer, it’s a good idea to know what you’re selling!

* Always Deliver What You Promise! Broken promises are the pathway to client divorce. Keep your relationships strong with clients by doing what you say you’re going to do. If you promise to send them a free report on property investment, have a system in place to do that. Everybody gets busy, so make sure you have the structure you need to deliver on your promises.

* Stay on Top of Issues! One of the negatives of doing business online is not being able to drive to a store if you’re unhappy. If someone contacts you about not receiving your newsletter, take it seriously. That person is motivated enough to let you know, which means they value what you’re offering. Make sure prospects have a way to contact you, and stay on top of your email!

* Don’t Overload Them with Offers! I believe in “touching” my list frequently, but if I send them five fantastic offers a day, they’ll be clicking the “unsubscribe” link! If you’re marketing several information products at once, target different segments of your list with each and set up a rotation schedule for your auto responders. Its fine to offer everything to everyone (IF they’re a good target market!), but you don’t have to send everyone everything at the same time!

I want you to have amazing success as an affiliate! One of the best ways to do that is to strengthen your relationships with your prospects and clients. If anything on the list above was an “Ouch!” for you, stop and figure out how to make it happen. All you have to gain are more sales!
