Internet Marketing Strategies – The One Thing You Must Do
How would you like to be able to make the money that you set out to make when you first started your internet business? Are your current internet marketing strategies going to get you there or are you going to have to change something? You may have tried the pay per click and the social media marketing and the article marketing and all of those other things and still you are feeling like you are working a JOB: Just Over Broke.
While there is no magic pill in marketing success, there is one thing which you can do starting this week to build internet marketing strategies which can put you on the road to riches. If you are interested in learning what it is just keep reading.
If you have ever read ‘Think and Grow Rich’ by Napoleon Hill you have heard that one of the leading causes of failure business is expecting something for nothing. But have you ever looked at that statement in relation to your current internet marketing strategies to see if there is a problem? Well, let me tell you what I have seen bring an end to dozens of would be small business endeavors over the past ten years: The act of not including contribution as one of your major goals.
Now sometimes when I say this people think that I am not talking about your internet marketing strategies at all and that I am referring to some kind of charitable giving. But this is not the type of contribution which I am referring to, I am talking about a genuine desire and a passion to add something of value to someone’s life. People who know that you do not have their well being in mind are not going to buy from you not matter how great your products is. People are going to go to the person who they feel truly respects them and has their best interest in mind.
I have seen it hundreds of times, clever internet marketing strategies which do more to turn away customers and send them to the competition. Why? Because people have a sixth sense when it comes to whether or not a company really cares about them and the only thing that you can do about this is really care about your customers. There is simply no way to fake it.
This means that your goal is first to contribute something of value to someone’s life and second to make a profit. While this may sound upside down I can tell you that having worked with hundreds of business owners and even millionaires, that those who make the most money are those who are always thinking about the contribution.
Here is an example: Steven Jobs of Apple said this: “Some companies have decided to lay people off and maybe that was the best move for them. We figured that as long as we kept putting quality products in front of our customers that they would continue to open their wallets.” Another quote comes from the late James Cash Penny, founder of the JCPenny department stores reads: “The merchant who devotes himself to the service of the public has nothing to fear from the competition.”
So when it comes to your internet marketing strategies, you have a choice. You can either keep the almighty dollar as your top priority and struggle to make ends meet, or you can do what the big earners have done and become one of them.
